| Biography: |
Tim's first stage performance was The North Wind at the age of 7, when he was the only one in the class who could fake a cold, without actually having one. His drama career continued through primary and secondary schools, until, at Bristol University, he was 'encouraged' to give up Drama in favour of Architecture. After a ‘career break’ of 20 years as an Architect in Bristol, towards the end of which he reprised his fiddle playing, Tim returned to London, where he joined and directed local Ceilidh band, ‘Hedgehog Pie’ and played his first shows for Three Rivers Theatre Company as Eugene Fodor in ‘Crazy For You’ and narrator in ‘The Musicals - Now and Then’. Chorus parts in ‘Don Giovanni’ and ‘Cosi Fan Tutte’ for Bushey Opera Group made use of his mandolin playing and singing skills, as did a guest performance with Oxford University Chamber Orchestra. Recent performances for Rickmansworth Players have included Embassy Diplomat in ‘Chess’, Gangster in ‘ Kiss Me Kate’, Doc in ‘West Side Story’ , Chandler Tate in ‘Comic Potential’, Annas in 'Jesus Christ Superstar', David Bascombe in 'Carousel' , Donald Evans in 'Ten Times Table' , Fagin in 'Oliver! and Andrew Carnes in Oklahoma!. He has also performed regularly in Rickmansworth Players' Murder Mystery Plays. Tim's other theatrical skills include set design and construction (and lugging music stands around the county!), but he hasn't ventured into directing ... yet.
Currently Tim is working on the set design for Noel Coward's Blithe Spirit.
