What good is a matchmaker without men?

We are still looking for a number of men for ensemble and smaller roles.
Whilst the ability to dance is of course a bonus, it is not a requirement for this show, but you do need to be able to sing.

What does it involve?

Men will be required to walk on and off stage in time to music, wave hats, escort ladies on and off stage, be a dinner guest, be part of a parade or be a waiter. There are also a few small speaking parts.

How much time will it take?

Rehearsals will be every Thursday night from 7.45 until 10pm at St John’s Ambulance Hall in Mill End, Rickmansworth. From mid-October rehearsals are likely to be every other Sunday and will increase closer to the show. You will be needed every evening from 20 - 26th November for dress and tech rehearsals, and then the show.

If you are interested, come along for an informal chat about what the roles will involve any Thursday at 7.30pm in September.

So come on fellas, Dolly’s waiting!

We are also looking for a gymnastics or dance troupe of 8-10 people to choreograph and perform the very famous scene from the show, the Waiters' Gallop. This is a great opportunity for a local group to showcase their talents to thousands of local people. For more information contact philip.rae@rickmansworth-players.org.uk.
